    FOODIE FAVOURITES - OCTOBER

I've been sent lots of nice foodie bits recently and I haven't had a lot of opportunity on the blog to post about them so I thought I should do a little round-up of my favourite bits.

    Luscombe Drinks
First up, the lovely team at Luscombe Drinks in Devon sent me out some bottles of their drinks (£5.99 for 4). I like to think the Passionate Ginger (beer) is a descriptor for me so naturally that was my favourite. The Wild Elderflower Bubbly was another favourite - add a splash to a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and a sprig of mint for a refreshing cocktail. Available to buy from Abel & Cole and Amazon.
    Portlebay Popcorn
I would love to be in Portlebay's product development meetings. They're like the Willy Wonka of popcorn with flavours like Lemon Sherbert, Bacon & Maple Syrup and Chilli & Lime. The latest concoction they've come up with is Cappucino (75p) and it's a winner with me. Sweet, incredibly more-ish and available from Tesco or Budgens whenever you want a fix.
    The Primal Pantry
I've tried a few raw bars in the past but I've never been overly convinced. Is it me or do they all taste like dates? BUT I actually loved these paleo bars from the Primal Pantry (£1.49). They've got the same soft texture but they're packed with lots of additional fruit and nuts which give a lovely crunch. The apple & pecan was definitely my favourite! Find them in the gluten free aisle at Waitrose.
    Perk!er Bars
Quinoa seems to be cropping up everywhere these days so I thought I'd unleash my inner hipster and give these Quinoa and Sprouted Oats bars from Perk!er a try. They're packed with healthy-sounding ingredients like goji berries, cacoa and chia seeds so you won't feel guilty reaching from them at 4pm. I have to say I was impressed and now keep a little stack in my desk drawer for when I'm feeling peckish. They are priced at 75p each and you can grab them from Asda or Sainsbury's.
Well that's it for this month, I hope you've enjoyed this new style of post - I'll be back at the end of November with another round-up of new bits and bobs that I've been in trying!

*I was sent PR samples for review. All opinions are completely my own.
